Pettifoggers in Your Family Tree?

Since most of my ancestors were farmers, I keep secretly hoping to uncover a ripper (fish seller), seinter (girdle maker), hosteler (inn keeper), or even a pettifogger (shyster lawyer) to add a bit of interest to my family history.
