Best of About Genealogy 2003

Monday December 29, 2003
Looking back over the past year, several articles and topics on this site overwhelmingly stand out as most popular. First and foremost, people seem interested in learning more about the meaning of their last name. DNA and genetics are another common theme as I often get questions from people wanting to know if a DNA test can help them find their ancestors or determine if they have European, African-American or Native-American ancestry. And, of course, people want to know what they can learn about their family for free - so 101 Ways to Trace Your Family Tree, Top 10 Free Surname Databases, and Free Interactive Family Tree Chart are always popular!

There's plenty more here to explore as well, and one of the best places to start is Genealogy A to Z.
