As the sun set on Friday, June 11, 2004, President Ronald Reagan was laid to rest on the grounds of his presidential library in Simi Valley, California, becoming the 37th U.S. president to be memorialized in stone.

From the simple headstones of Herbert Hoover and Calvin Coolidge, to the elaborate tombs of Ulysses S. Grant and Dwight D. Eisenhower, the graves of the U.S. Presidents are an inspiring place to visit.

The information on Chester Arthur’s burial place has an error. The cemetery is located in Menands, NY not Menards.
