The Good, the Bad & the Ugly

One thing discussed over and over in many of the lectures in this week's FGS Genealogy Conference is the reliability and usefulness of Internet sources. Some people worry about the perpetuation of bad genealogy online, but everyone still agrees that the Internet is one of the best resources available for tracing family trees. The trick is to learn how to separate the good online data from the bad. Follow these five steps for verifying online genealogy sources and you too can use the power of the Internet to track down reliable information about your ancestors.
