So begins a painful message from Leland Meitzler, owner of Heritage Creations, on his personal blog - GenealogyBlog.com. The founder of Heritage Quest Magazine has spent years trying to pull his company out of a hole, apparently at the cost of his own home and savings, but has finally been forced to give up the quest and file for Chapter 7 personal bankruptcy. Leland is a great guy and this is indeed sad news for the genealogy community. I wish Leland and his wife all the best in getting back on their feet. Leland's message is poignant, and well worth reading.
