Carnival of Genealogy
Friday October 20, 2006
If you've never read or participated in a blog carnival then you may want to check out the great Carnival of Genealogy hosted by Jasia of Creative Gene. The current 10th edition covers tombstones - the history of cemeteries, tombstones that aren't there any more, symbols and iconography and grave tending traditions. If you want to become involved, the topic for the next Carnival of Genealogy is "Making the most of family get-togethers to learn more about your history and heritage." Submissions are due by Nov. 1.
If you aren't familiar with the term blog carnival, it is a basically a form of blog community. A Blog Carnival typically brings together links pointing to blog articles on a particular topic. They are a great way to learn what bloggers are saying about that topic!
