Canadian Border Crossing Records Added to Ancestry.ca

Thursday April 5, 2007
More than 4 million names of individuals who crossed the U.S. - Canadian border between 1895 and 1956 are now available for searching at Ancestry.ca. The Canadian Border Crossings Collection includes a searchable database and digitized images of the manifests which record both immigrants who first sailed to or settled in Canada before continuing to the United States, as well as U.S. and Canadian citizens crossing the border. These records may include such details as date and place of birth, previous residence and the names of family members.
