If you are looking for creative and personal gift ideas for family members, then you can't go wrong with a special gift which celebrates your shared heritage. Our family is big on cooking and recipes with some being handed down several generations by both men and women. Last year I compiled a list of “favorite recipes” including one that was thought to be lost forever. I compiled all the recipes with little notes as to whose recipes they were, did a cover note, found a pic of my grandparents when they were dating back in the 20s, copied it and had it spiral bound at staples and gave it to all the aunts/uncles and grown cousins. It was well received and loved. There were recipes going to my great-great grandmother in one instance and there were many from my grandfather.
