A huge update of 300 million names was added this week to the online FamilySearch RecordSearch Web site, including a wide variety of census returns, vital records, and military and court documents from around the world.

Among the newly indexed records are:

  • Deaths and burials in Washington, DC between 1840 and 1964
  • Utah marriages from 1887 to 1966
  • Wales births and baptisms 1586 - 1907
  • Austria births and baptisms 1651-1940
  • Philippines deaths and burials 1726-1957

and many, many more! These records are all being made available online for free through the efforts of the many great volunteers at FamilySearch Indexing. You can search the new records for yourself at FamilySearch Record Search or the new FamilySearch beta site.

It is a good research tool but I would like to see the records they already have posted, completed before they post more. Also more US records instead of Mexican and and other countries.
