Tracing Your Hispanic Heritage

In the United States, people with Hispanic roots are celebrating the weeks between Sept. 15 and Oct. 15 as National Hispanic Heritage Month. The primarily Hispanic nations of Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua also each celebrate their birthdays during this time-period.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, over 13 percent of the population (about 10 million people) can trace their ancestry to Spanish-speaking countries. Are you one of them? Learn more by Researching Your Hispanic Heritage.
