In the United States, people with Hispanic roots are celebrating the weeks between Sept. 15 and Oct. 15 as National Hispanic Heritage Month. The primarily Hispanic nations of Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua also each celebrate their birthdays during this time-period.
