Washington State launched a new Digital Archives Archival Management System today, with the goal of making the historical electronic records of State and Local government more easily accessible to the public. The system is online with free access to several records of interest to genealogists with ancestors from Washington State, including marriage records from three pilot counties -- Chelan, Snohomish and Spokane -- along with the historic census and naturalization records from the State Archives and State Library.
