Take Your Genealogy on the Road
Monday May 9, 2005
After reading my article on combining a summer vacation with a genealogy research trip, my husband laughed and said that it was good, but I left a few things out. Like a reminder to drive safely when tempted to slam on the brakes after spotting an obscure cemetery on the way to the beach. And how the rest of the family should deal with the pleading...."I'm almost done." "Just 5 more minutes pleeeeaaaaze." "Can I wait till this one microfilm reel is done" "I don’t want to go to bed, I’m not tired yet, I have just one more land grant to survey."
When your genealogy research next sends you on the road, try these tips for preventing frustration and achieving success. You can even get the kids involved in the fun.
