Rules of Posting Genealogy Information Online

In response to the many recent online discussions regarding the use and copyright of genealogy data online spawned by Ancestry.com's now-defunct Internet Biographical Collection, Dick Eastman has outlined an excellent set of "rules" to consider when posting genealogy information online in his blog at EOGN. Rules 2 and 3 are fairly specific to indexing and caching, but rules 1 (Think before you post) and 4 (Facts are not copyrighted) are especially important for all of us to keep in mind.
