Guide Review - Genealogy.com - US Census Collection Online

A bit slow to get many census years online, Genealogy.com partnered with ProQuest in September 2002 to include the entire US Census (1790-1930) in its online offerings. Many census years are not yet indexed, but the indexes which are completed were hand-created by Heritage Quest or Genealogy.com (1900 index) and are fairly accurate. The only census offering as of the date of this review to include an index for the 1900 and 1910 US census. Enhanced black and white census images help improve readability, though some fear that this could introduce errors. The HTML viewer works for well on most computers and browsers with no additional software download, and includes easy printing of full-page images. On the downside, Genealogy.com offers no wildcard or soundex search and indexes are head of household only.
