Room Rules
We
want this to be a fun and friendly place where you can meet people, have
nice conversations, learn more about your ancestors and make friends. In
order to keep it that way, please read and follow the following RULES
and guidelines.
DO NOT USE ALL CAPS!
It means you're a yelling, it's hard to read, and it's considered rude.
No name calling,
racial slurs, or abusive language!
You may be expelled or banned immediately without warning for this
behavior.
No impersonating a
HOST or GUIDE
Do not add "HOST" or "ADM" to your nickname. You
will be banned for pretending to be genealogyADM, or adding HOST or ADM
to your name, as well as misrepresenting yourself.
Your Hosts and Guide
The Genealogy Chat Room is hosted on an intermittent basis by me
(Kimberly) as genealogyADM (genealogy administrator) as well as
guest hosts SharonHOST, NAHOSTMICHELLE, and RikkiHOST.
Please note the exact spelling and capitalization of these handles. Any
variation on the of these logins is NOT VALID. You can check anyone
claiming to be Admin or Host by highlighting their name in the user list
and clicking the User Info button. It will tell you if they are a
STANDARD user or if they have ADMIN privileges.
Serious Trouble in
the Room?
If you are experiencing trouble with a chatter, please note the
chatter's handle or nickname, when the problem occurred and email
me and I will follow up as best I can. Please feel free to click on the
user's handle and select ignore.
