of our mother, and to see if there are any survivors, relatives on

JOHANSEN
I'm searching for info abt. my GG-father Claus Johansen, born in
Vigerslev, Denmark 2 Aug 1846. Shortly after 15 May 1889 he left Denmark,
aged 43, bound for Chicago. I will greatly appreciate any help
to find him, possibly in Illinois around Cook County. Maybe there
exists a record of naturalization, census, marriage or
deed. The problem is, that he might have changed his name to a more
'American like' eg. Carl Johanson, Charles Johnson or something like
that. Good news can be sent to Arne Sorensen, Copenhagen, Denmark.
