Genealogy Sighting of the Week

October 28, 2000

GenExchange

I know that almost all of you have visited the great sites at RootsWeb, but if you are researching United States ancestors and haven't yet been to GenExchange then you really need to check it out!  GenExchange is one of the largest non-commercial sites on the Net. The site is broke down into States and then counties, which include the sort of information you would expect to find such as genealogy data, lookup volunteers, maps, queries etc. They also have many lesser-known goodies, such as 10,500+ biographies which can be accessed through the state sites or by a global search engine. Spend some time this week exploring GenExchange - I think you may find yourself pleasantly surprised!
