Acronym For: National Archives and Records Administration

Definition: Genealogists are the most numerous users of the Washington, DC research rooms and the 13 regional facilities of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). They hold millions of records of interest to genealogists - especially U.S. census, immigration and military records.
