Comments: State law restricts access to family members for 125 years after the date of birth. This includes the individual named on the certificate, parents, spouse, children, siblings, and legal representatives. Individuals born in Alabama who were adopted may obtain informational copies of their original birth certificates upon reaching the age of 19.
