For a small fee you can request a search of this list of over 700,000 names taken from burials in Alberta cemeteries, compiled from grave marker inscriptions and any other records that have been located.

Almost 150 local history book indexes are online encompassing over 87,900 names. These histories often include the names of all family members, dates and places of birth, places of origin, maiden names, marriages, etc. This is only an index of the surnames, etc. with bibliography information for the book which they appear in.

Denney compiled information on over 1200 families with roots in Red River, predominantly Metis and fur trade families. Pedigree charts and detailed information on family members is included.  Index of surnames is online.  Available through interlibrary loan from the Glenbow Archives.
