Fifth Generation (Great Great Grandparents):

18. George COOK was born about 1817 in South Carolina.

19. Rhoda was born about 1820 in Alabama

George and Rhoda COOK are possibly the parents of Milly COOK, b. abt. 1844. They live next door in the 1880 US Census of Liberty County, Florida. It is also possible they are her grandparents. They are listed with a granddaughter, Anna Thurman, age 13, in the 1880 census. In 1900 George has remarried and is living with his second wife, Hennie. He also has a granddaughter and great-grandsons living with him: Fannie, Herman and Eddie Smith.

26. Mack LEE was born abt. 1850 in Texas and died before 5 Jan 1920 in Alabama.

27. Emma ROBISON was born 17 Oct. 1852 in Georgia and died 26 May 1922 in Barbour County, Alabama.

Mack LEE and Emma ROBISON were married on 5 Dec 1868 in Barbour County, Alabama. They appear together with their children in the 1900 US Census in Lawrenceville, Henry County, Alabama, and the 1910 US Census in Richards, Barbour County, Alabama. Emma, listed as a widow, is living with her daughter, Lillie Lee Johnston in the 1920 US Census of Clayton, Barbour County, Alabama. Mack and Emma had the following children:

28. William CARTER, Sr. was born abt. May 1850 and died 18 Dec 1930 in Abbeville, Henry County, Alabama. His parents were Joseph and Mary Carter.

29. Ella JONES was born Abt. Feb 1854 in Alabama.

Will CARTER and Ellen JONES were married in 1868 in Henry County, Alabama. They appear together in the 1880, 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930 US Census in Lawrenceville, Henry County, Alabama. Will and Ellen had at least seven children according to the 1910 census, but only two survived to adulthood:
