The LI-RA-MA Collection held at the National Archives Canada consists of documents created by the Imperial Russian Consular offices in Canada during the period 1898 to 1922. The Passport/Identity Papers series consists of about 11,400 files on Russian and East European immigrants (Jews, Ukrainians, Poles, Finns, etc.) who settled in Canada in the first two decades of the twentieth century.
