American-Canadian Genealogical Society
The Society was founded at Manchester, New Hampshire in September 1973 to serve persons interested in ancestral research, especially those of French-Canadian origin.
American Historical Association
The largest historical society in the United States, the AHS is a nonprofit membership organization founded in 1884 and incorporated by Congress in 1889 for the promotion, preservation, and dissemination of historical information.
Association of Professional Genealogists
A professional association for all genealogists, supporting high standards in the field of genealogy.
Canada's National History Society
Incorporated in December, l993 as a non-profit organization devoted to popularizing Canadian history.
Federation of East European Family History Societies
FEEFHS includes nearly every East and Central European group that has an existing genealogy society in North America as well as a growing group of world-wide organizations and individual members.
Federation of Family History Societies
This group based in the U.K. includes a large number of societies from the United Kingdom and Ireland and a growing number of overseas organizations.
Federation of Genealogical Studies
More than 500 genealogical societies in the United States and Canada are members of FGS. You can search their directory online to find one in your area of interest.
International Internet Genealogical Society
An organization dedicated to providing genealogists worldwide with interactive access to online genealogical information.
National Genealogical Society
A service organization assisting over 17,000 members in tracing family histories since being founded in 1903.
New England Historic Genealogical Society
The oldest and largest genealogical society in the United States with over 17,000 members worldwide.  Their 25,000 volume book-by-mail circulating library is an excellent resource!
Palatines to America
A national genealogical society of persons researching German-speaking ancestry, with emphasis on European migrations from the Germanic regions of Europe to North America.
Society of Genealogists (United Kingdom)
This society offers a combination of research material, guidance and support for those interested in family history in the U.K.
