It's been a great week for people with roots in the British Isles as ScotlandsPeople announces the publication of the 1841 Scotland census and Ancestry.com puts up a complete index and images for the 1841 census of England and Wales. For both of these subscription-based genealogy Web sites, this completes the collection of available census records from 1841-1901 (1841 was the first UK census to include more than a statistical count of the population, and the 1901 census is the most recent available to the public).
