Kimberly's Genealogy BlogDeath of Julia M. CaseIf you've been involved with online genealogy for a number of years, then it is likely that you'll recognize the name of Julia Martha Case, who sadly passed way in Alexandria, Virginia, on 13 February 2008. Julie was a professional genealogist and best known to many of us as the original and longtime co-editor of the RootsWeb Review, and as editor of the Missing Links and Somebody's Links newsletters. Julie, who specialized in transcription of colonial Virginia records, also served as an instructor for the NGS' home study course, trustee of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), board member of the Friends of the Virginia State Archives, membership chairman of the Virginia Genealogical Society, and assistant sysop on GEie's Genealogy RoundTable. She was also one of the authors of RootsWeb's Guide to Tracing Family Trees.
You can read a full obituary on Julie's PetuniaPress Web site. Information on the memorial service is also in the Washington Post. Saturday February 16, 2008 | comments (0) Display Latest Headlines | powered by WordPress |
