Publish a Family Photo Book

Friday November 9, 2007
MyPublisher Family Photo Books - Photo courtesy MyPublisher.comI love digitizing my old family photos so that I can easily share them with my distant relatives. I've even made a number of photo CDs, so that everyone can have their own digital copies to view and print. As nice as they are, however, digital photos aren't for everyone. I have many relatives who would much rather have actual photos to look at and touch. For them, a family photo book may be the perfect gift!

MyPublisher.com lets you create and publish a very nice photo book easily and inexpensively. A 20-page paperback book starts as low as $12.95. The same book in hardcover begins at $29.80 in linen or $39.80 in leather. The photos are printed in high resolution on acid-free paper, and the free downloadable software makes it easy to design your own book using a variety of different templates. Photo quality, according to some reviewers, isn't as crisp as standard photo reprints, but better than you might expect for $12.95. Other family photo book options include Shutterfly, Picaboo and Kodak EasyShare Gallery. If you want to do your own printing, then check out Epson's StoryTeller kit, or if you want to design in your own software and have someone else do the printing, then UBuildABook might be a good option (but only if you plan to print a dozen or more books). If you're in Australia, I've heard good things about Momento photobooks.

I like Viovio.com for publishing my digital scrapbooks. The quality is great - and their prices are so much better than anyone else I’ve come across. Oh and they ship internationally too!
