John T. Humphrey, manages the Education Program of
the National Genealogical Society in Arlington, Virginia. He lectures
frequently at national, regional, and local conferences and will appear
in 2000 on the nationally televised PBS series Ancestors. The award winning author made a guest appearance on Wall
Street Journal Reports, a nationally syndicated television program,
where he discussed the business side of genealogy. Mr. Humphrey's
principal genealogical publications include the fourteen-volume set of Pennsylvania
Births that list more than 170,000 recorded births in eleven eastern
Pennsylvania counties, a two-volume family history titled Early Families of Northampton County,
Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania
Gravestones, Northampton County and the critically acclaimed Understanding
and Using Baptismal Records.
The Northampton County native resides in Washington, D. C. where he
received his B. A. in government and public administration.
