| Take Charge of Your Email - Part II | ||||||||||
Now that you have your email sorted into folders or mailboxes it is time to learn about filters. Message filtering is used to automatically process some or all of your incoming mail. You can have filters delete messages or put them into the separate folders you just set up, based on a set of rules which you determine. This is especially useful for heavy traffic genealogy lists, genealogy newsletters, etc. Filters can also be used to help screen out spam and send it directly to your trash bin. This will help to keep your inbox much less cluttered so you aren't as likely to miss that all important email from a long-lost cousin!
