Remarks: State office has had some records since July 1870. Years from 1894 to 1920 are incomplete. Additional copies of birth records are $4.00 each. Copies are generally mailed within 2-3 working days after request is received. Money order should be made payable to ND Department of Health. Call or visit the Web site to verify current fees.

Comments: Copies of divorce records can only be obtained from the County Clerk of Court in the county in which the divorce or annulment was decreed. If you need assistance determining in which county the divorce decree was granted, contact the North Dakota Division of Vital Records via phone, mail or email and they will search their index for free.
